Where Message Mugz Began
Message Mugz started with something deeply personal — the quiet wish to hold onto the voices of the people I love.
After losing my grandmother, I found myself wishing for more than photographs. I wanted to hear her laugh again. To see the way her face lit up when she spoke. To have something real to return to.
That longing sparked an idea.
What if a gift could carry more than words?
What if it could carry a voice — a presence — a moment?
I didn’t want to create just another personalised product. I wanted to create something that could preserve connection. Something meaningful. Something lasting.
And so, Message Mugz was born.
Because memories shouldn’t fade.
And neither should the voices that shaped us.
The Women Who Shaped This
The idea for Message Mugz began with the loss of my grandmother — and the realisation of how much I longed to hear her voice again.
But it’s also shaped by the grandmother I still have.
The one I can still sit with. Still share a cup of tea with. Still hear her laugh.
Losing one made me cherish the other even more.
It reminded me that time is precious. That conversations matter. That the ordinary moments — sitting at a kitchen table with a warm mug in your hands — are often the ones we miss the most.
Message Mugz is my way of honouring both of them.
One whose voice I wish I could hear again.
And one whose voice I treasure every day.
